A List of My Top Three Favorite Artists In 2024
The artists below didn’t just sell many records and have massive concerts; they represented the mood and attitudes of millions of people who felt alive while listening to their songs. The three artists on this list make up a massive portion of the world music industry and have significantly influenced culture this year. They’ve made us rethink our summers, doubt the closest around us, and question the hierarchical structures that have unfair control over us.
When I listed out potential artists of the year for 2024, nearly 10 artists made my list. From rock to country, afrobeats, pop, and more, several outstanding talents from a myriad of genres had unbelievably triumphant moments. I ultimately chose the below three through the following criteria. They all exemplified the three categories to the greatest extent and did a fabulous job at reminding us what we loved, feared, and grew excited about all 12 months of 2024:
- The artist needs to perform incredibly well at the highest level: When the pressure is on, they deliver. Even with high expectations, these artists do the job and give people even more than expected.
